I'm using the maschine mk2 and a Boss RC-300 Loop Station. I realize not everyone is familiar with the rc-300 so I'll try to explain the dilemma.

The RC-300 has 99 "phrase memories" that are divided into 3 tracks each. Switching between phrase memories, it has the option to send a program change, allowing me to correspond the phrase memory with scenes in Maschine, switching both simultaneously either way, whether I'm controlling from the looper or the maschine. Great.

However... this is borderline useless for a live set up, because the phrase memories can't be saved while playing. You have to stop it and then save. Switching to another phrase memory without doing so clears the previous phrase. So I could go back to the previous phrase, and the Maschine would switch back to the corresponding scene, but I would lose any other instruments I just recorded on the looper.

On the other hand, switching between the three tracks within each phrase memory doesn't clear anything and can be done seamlessly, meaning within a phrase memory, I could for example make track one the verse, track two the chorus, track three the bridge, and switch between them at will without stopping or saving anything.

All I want to do is have each track correspond with a difference scene, just as I'm able to do with phrase memories.

Seems pretty straight forward but for the life of me I can't make it happen.

The problem I'm running into seems to be that the scenes can only be switched from an external midi device using program changes or midi notes. The only program changes the loop station can send are the ones attached to the phrase memories... no way to make the tracks trigger a program change, nor does it have the ability to send midi notes, at least as far as I'm aware.

I can assign control changes to the start button of each track on the loop station... So I thought maybe I could use them to trigger the pads on the maschine if its in scene mode but that doesn't seem to do anything. Is there any possible way to change tracks via control changes or is it strictly program changes and midi notes? Could I just have a setting wrong?

Does anyone know of any other workarounds for this? Or am I out of luck?

This is very much a make or break situation in terms of whether or not the Maschine is of any use to me. If I can't figure this out I'm going to have to return it and try something else.

Hey, sorry, i have no solution. But another "Problem". Is it possible to change a Maschine Song by changing the RC 300 Memory bank.
I am working with RC 300 as Master to control tempo, start and stop of the Maschine.
It would be nice to have the Maschine Song changing according to the "Song" of the RC.....greetz foerya
