Changing the "gray lines" (song runs out of the beat scheme)

Hey guys, I suppose this is a REALLY REALLY stupid noob question as hell. But anyways, I really appreciate your help! I am using the S4 only for fun sometimes and at private partys.

I have a track that I simply cannot mix. Although synchronizing it with the currently playing track, after about 10 seconds it runs out of scheme...

The beat-pattern of the "grey vertical lines" do not match the beats anymore after some seconds. I hope you understand what I mean...

How do I get it back into pattern....

I am talking about "It just won't do" of Tim Deluxe & Sam Obernik (Radio Version)

I am happy about your help!

If your beat grids go out of time, assuming your track is constant all the way through, then you need to change the BPM of your track. If it is slightly out of time you may not notice it drifting at the begining of the track but it will become more apparent at the end of the track.

Adjust your bpm of the track and pay paticular attention to the end of the track.

A good suggestion would be to google the name and version of your track and the bpm.

I find this super usefull for those difficult tracks and acapellas.

Or you can just set the beatgrid correctly. It takes 15 seconds.

    Hi,

the BPMs are adjusted with the (sync button) but it does not work basically right from the start. the beat grids go out of time although the track is synced. Do I need to fine-tune it by hand?

I have the club mix version, too but I like the radio edit version and try to put a loop on the first seconds to begin with that. It does not work...

I guess Its all a noob handling mistake of myself but I am not abled to fix it yet.

Please excuse my low skills and the language. I`m german

    edit:

    @brocklambert

    how do I do that?

    Thx

That one won't work as the beatgridding on Traktor isn't advanced enough to cope with variable beats (due to being recorded in analogue format).

If you know anyone who uses Ableton live, that can be used to tidy up the beats so it can be beatgridded.
