    I had the same problem. My computer had updates that I never updated. I just shut down my computer and turned it back on maybe 2 minutes later. This time when I went to SC the updates were there. Hope it helps...

    What you are talking about is only for harddrives and USB drives etc to protect the data on them by ensuring that all the data has been written to the drive before unplugging.

    You will never ever have an option to disconnect you NI hardware safely. There is no need for it.

    In fact Native Instruments hardware is designed to be able to pluged and unplugged on the fly - even whilst using traktor and machine etc.

    Like the new select features. NI really improved the event selecting section. On the old 1.7 i used my mouse most times for selecting events. Now with the new 1.8 i'm almost as fast with the maschine controller as with my mouse.
