Vocoder...it's a "free" update for Reason 2.0 user. Although it's not as "powerful" than Vokator, but worth checking out.

Just a thought...will NI be coming out with a product like Reason? Seems like everybody is heading this direction...given that the pricing of "each" NI instruments are almost the same as Reason 2.5 alone!

NI Rack? With Absynth (as the synth), Konkatk (as the sampler), Vokator (as the Vocoder), Battery (as the drum machine), Rekator (as the effect specialist). So forth and so on....

I'd pay $650 US for that...what do you think? :p

Just a thought after playing with Reason 2.5 non-stop since yesterday!

    Cheers,
    Pfung

    Nahhhhhh

I personally like things the way they are ...
I dont want to open a whole rack if I just want to use Vokator ...
Not to mention CPU issues, though turning off uneeded options would be available I'm sure , but , nahhhhhh.

We dont need anymore Reasons in this world ....

Did you compare the sound quality between reason and NI synth?
    just for fun....

Reason has a marvelous G.U.I but its sound engine is terrible...IMO

I have to agree with guys against another Reason, it's not needed. Of course it is cheaper, it sounds cheaper and has far less capabilities for engineering and mashing up sounds than anything like Absynth, vokator, Reaktor and so on.

    Hi!

I tried Reason a while ago and tought it was a great tool in creating music. Then suddenly it all became clear all those limitations it had.

    1. You CAN'T create MIDI OUT tracks.
    2. It has its instruments and NOTHING MORE, it is IMPOSSIBLE to use other instruments in Reason than those contained within. The solution is to buy a program that can be a HOST for Reason like Cubase SX through ReWire. I have never tried it. I think this is a great limitation for a program that is sold as a stand-alone package.
    3. Functionality! Things missing that should be contained, things that could be more easily done that must be done manually etc.

Otherwise it is a great program if you don't care about the limitations!

Ok, Reason gots its limits, but: IT works!
It is pretty stable and it's fun to work with.

I bought R-Session to create loops & samples for this NN-XT-sampler, but it's very hard to work with Session.
I'd D/L the 1st & the 2nd update. Not it runs for 1 or 2 hours, then _every_ .ens begins to sound noisy, creeps - gruesome and a few minutes later my PC crashes.
If another program is running in the background there's just one minute 'till it crashes.

It's impossible to create loops with this recordertool, cause it doesn't cuts correctly.

So now i'm working with Reason 2.5 only.
If someone wanna buy Session, let me know!

1-2 hours? I'd kill to get more than 20-30 minutes.
