During the last few days, I’ve been pouring over what little documentation is out there, both online and via the user manuals, on using Traktor DJ to clear the air on some features, as it’s been awhile since I’ve used it.

In light of the knowledge that the iCloud Sync feature introduced this past summer is supposed to save hotcues, beatgrids, BPM and other info for prepared tracks, I have been searching for basic information on a few things:

    - How to prepare tracks (ie, how to analyze) in Traktor DJ.
    - How to properly prepare a track via a hotcue or other method so that when I press PLAY on the iPad or my S4, that the track starts instantly, as opposed to pressing play on the iPad and then having to watch the play head move through silence before it hits the beginning of the song’s waveform.
    - How to fix tracks so that when I press the PLAY button on either my iPad or my S4, the track will start from the exact place I want to start....usually, the beginning.

In the end, what I’m envisisioning is that I choose my songs, and then prepare them properly before they are ready to get played. This would also include setting hotcues, ensuring that the beatgrids are locked, and, most importantly, have the song play instantly when I press PLAY on the iPad, rather than waiting through a few seconds of silence.

I’d appreciate any advice or guidance on this; thanks!
