    Hi,

I have built a couple of synths, used the basic ensemble components like sampler, oscillators, grain delay etc. I am surprised by the elegant noise you can make even at such level :) I have found out that one of the big things I should learn in Reaktor is clocks. So when would one actually use a clock in his ensemble? I guess it must be to sync some stuff, but I just can't put a solid example on my mind since I am new to Reaktor.

    Thanks.

Things like... tempo-sync'd delays, sequencers (for... sequenced parameter values or full sequences of notes etc) - I'm sure there are endless applications in terms of chopping samples up and re-sequencing loops... arpeggiators - turning single notes into arpeggios etc...

That kind of thing. All the beatbox factory ensembles (GoBox, Massive, that kind of thing) will contain clocks, but anything musically sync'd - certainly anything that syncs to a host sequencer - would benefit from clocking.
