sounds pretty good... lets see what happens ....
    ---
but whats the problem with the maschine?

I find the pads way better than mpc's... the only thing mpc just feel like softer depending on what mpc you have... I much prefer the feel of maschine... but ill have a think about this

    That's what I wonder too...a sales pitch?;)
I had Akai MPD 18 and 26, shortly, both were pretty insensitive.
Maschine is OK and I wonder what happens when you beak that seal?
    Warranty goes adiós?

Dont get me wrong guys. There is NO PROBLEM with the Maschine sensistivity out of the box, but there was room for improvement so we did it. Just like a Lamborghini it is plenty fast from the factory but their are still nut jobs that put turbos on them.

We got many emails requesting new pads and corx for the NI Maschine so we did them. As I personal Maschine user my gripe was always the pads themselves not the sensitivity. The pads are somewhat stale feeling, not tall enough, and the squared edges always annoyed me. So ultimately that is what I was going for, I got the prototypes finished today and they play amazing.

The THICK FAT pads have rounded edges like the MPC, softer feel and thicker. The feel is great, better than I can remember in any unit I have used.

Here is a pic. Keep in mind these are prototypes so the top is a bit rough.

How much are the pads gonna cost? Also will there be a bundle for the corx and the pads?

Man....those look great! So are you guys doing colors? I ordered the "Thick Fat Pads" for my MPD32 and I love them...I'm assuming Maschine's will be awesome.

Ill stick with the maschine pads, I prefer them than the mpc...

just wondering what the corx will do though exactly? how it will be an "improvement" and do I need to change the pads if I get these corx things?

Corks improve the sensitivity. Basically "light" taps on the pads register a response where the standard pads would not register.

ok cool man, well it must be a huge difference. i find them very sensitive.. do you personally think its a good option to add these new corks?

i dont feel like replacing the pads but corx seems abit nice to me...

i already changed my knobs, also the side panels are raised wood... ill throw a skin on the body once i see what happens with 2.0...

    cheers

Ok to be honest as a Maschine user. You will notice more of a difference when using the new thick pads than you will with the Corx.

The corx are nice but the feel of the new pads is incredible.

These will be available in colors...

We are doing Translucent Red, Translucent Blue, Smoke, Normal Clear, and MPC style Grey.

Personally I like the sensitivity of the regular Maschine pads. The only reason I changed out the MPD32's pads was the regular pad sensitivity was absolute rubbish.

    Mike,
Are you saying that the thick pads will provide better sensitivity for Maschine users than the corx? And will the corx be necessary for those who want thick pads? Looking forward to see pictures and vids of these pads in different colors to see what they look like (aside from the one you posted).

Not to jump in on Mike's answer, because it may be different with Maschine, but when I ordered the "Thick Fat Pads" for my MPD32 they included the corx. I installed them first without the corx, and then with the corx and noticed a major difference in the sensitivity. Although even without the corx the "Thick Fat Pads" were FAR better than the MPD32's default pads concerning the sensitivity.
