COLORS! Browser area.

+1 .... i would also like to see something simple like changing he color of played tracks. Like in serato

 

I agree with some of the posts (not all) that there should be more colour options in the browser.
First off the icons (played, Preparation List, etc) should all have different colours so they stand out.

Being able to apply colours to certain tracks is an old request and a good one.

Maybe just a column field that can be used for whatever custom use you want. The colour options are already there in the remix decks.

Just lots of colour options, thats what we want.

 

You can achive this with a little workaround.
If you do not need the album-cover of your tracks, you can create a small jpg for each color and assign the jpg to your track.

Yeah this is an old workaround that I contemplated doing, in fact i remember someone actually did this a few years back.

Let's just have a colour field column and we can do whole bunches of tracks in one go.

 

nice would be a colourpicker for preset colours, id like to set the intensity by my self

I still think to keep it simple as per bpm range or key.
And not a lot of color.
On decks a small outline for bpm.
and only text for each bpm or key in browser.

Traktor has a professional look. Which I think(not sure) most respect.
just my opinion. everyone wants customizing.

Even the remix decks I find using a set pattern and dont need all the colors provided.

 

Yeah simple is best. One colour column field isnt asking for too much colour though..?

I certainly don't want customizing. People have been requesting skins and different colours since forever and I am 100% against such nonsense.

 

Maybe an option for the waveform to match key color. Or bpm color?

 

It would be possible to match it to the professional design (like very dark colors, but still colors). I think the NI graphic designers should manage to that

I'd really like to be able to group tracks by colour in the browser; would be great for keeping track of intricate playlists where several tracks belong to a "sub-mix", as it were.

 

Vote for colors as well!

It would be really handy if i have an instrument to mark some tracks in browser during the gig to work on them after. I would use green for recent hits, and red for "not to play" ones that were corrupted and needs to be removed from disk for example. Color labels seems to be really nice for this as they are much more noticeable (if there's such word) than text comments i use now.

the browser is outdated by a million miles and need a complete re vamp. Now if N.I. could just admit it and just re design it to what we want.

 

The one thing i miss about serato when using traktor is the color changing with the played tracks turning green. I really wish Traktor would implement something as simple as this. That Check mark on the side just does not cut it for me. Hopefully other feel the same.

Add colors and browse functionality would be great to but the above would be a great start.

 

Tracktor Music Library/Browser Upgrade

At this point any improvement will be well received as long as it make thing better in an organizational way or useful instead of just adding a change in appearance that will just make you confuse. I wonder if N.I monitor this comments or should we write to Ean from DJTT since it seem that he deal directly with their development team.

 

there is much to be desired when it comes to N.I.

 

I want to arbitrarily color my list to distinguish my upbeat/hard tracks from the more chill ones. Being able to also use BPM and other fields would make this a Great feature. I assumed something like this would be available before I came into the Traktor realm!

I presume it's coming...
