Combos not loading in Cubase studio 4.1

Hi,

I've correctly installed guitar combos into my vst folder and whenever I start Cubase it stalls when trying to initalise any of the combos. I'm using Vista home premium on an Acer aspire 5100. I have installed the latest updates for Cubase and guitar combos.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Combos are not currently qualified for use in Vista by NI at this point.
Very few NI products are recommended for use in Vista at this point; the performance of Vista overall is very low in regards to audio.

 

Well my Audio Kontrol, Kontakt, and Traktor works ok and Combos is fine in standalone mode so why doesn't it work as a plugin? Anyone else have any experience in vista with combos?

 

Well, that is the "general" scoop on Vista, some things may work. As 4.1 is newer than the last Combos update, it may well have broken compatibility.

I'll post this to development, but don't expect a response here.

Cubase always worked fine in vista with just couple of bugs. I know NI doesn't fully support vista yet but I'm hoping they will some day..
I just bought a notebook earlier this year with vista pre-installed. If I had known some of the troubles it had I wouldn't of bothered but I was in a rush as heading overseas. Just seems a little weird that all my other NI products (quite a few) work ok but combos doesn't.

well by me guitarcombos + cubase 4.03 and 4.1 + vista works fine

but everytime i unload this plugin i get an crash thats caused of the DEP )data execution prevetion... that tells me that the software is properly stopped for safetyness ^^

so i stopped the DEP and now it crashes to
