Combo's registered... not.

    I just registered all three Combo's: all went fine, no problem. Copied the codes into the tool, got an okay, emails, the lot, and everything is fine. But when I open one of the Combo's in Sonar 6 I STILL get the message they aren't registered and I have only so much days to do that... That's scary! What can I do?

    I use Sonar 6 PE on Vista Home Premium 32 bits.

    P.S. I only got the Dxi installed: maybe that has something to do with it...? Still, the registration process went perfectly well...

    Welcome =)

    Have you run them in standalone? If not, do so. Reboot, and then try running them in Sonar.

    No, I only installed the DXi version because that is the only one I use. (BTW I tried to do that already, starting the standalone version, so I was thinking in the good direction ;) , but the links in the Startmenu couldn't find the exe of course. Kinda weird that the links do get installed while I chose not to install the standalone version.)

    I think it's no problem installing the standalone version now (you can pick which things you want to install), or would it be better to de-install and re-install everything all over again?

    BTW Shouldn't this have been mentioned during install, that you need the standalone version to register? Or is this some kind of bug?

    I do not like this... I have unstalled everything, installed the standalone version AND the VST version (because I don't like to load them as softsynths in Sonar and that they show up in the Synthrack!). I ran the reg tool and got the message all was fine. I started the standalone version, no problem. Rebooted the computer, start Sonar, loaded the Combo's... *** I still get the message I have to register them or else!

    I do not like this at all. I was planning on buying Guitar Rig 2, but I want to get this solved first because I don't want to spend money on something I might not be able to register!

    EDIT:
    I just mailed registration support. That's what they are there for, of course. ;)

    Yes! That did it! Thx! Why didn't you tell so in the first place! ;) :p

    Pity I just mailed support... Can I cancel that somehow?

    Well, this is great: now I can order GR2! (Anyone knows when the Summer of Sound offers ends...?)

    To be honest, because I didn't think of it. :blush:

    I've done all my activations with the Service Center for quite a while now, and it just occured to me that the old registration tool might have issues, being that there's mostly SC activations these days, and the registration tool's fallen by the wayside. There's probably a conflict with the activation schemes, with the SC taking priority.

    So how do I do a reinstallation after a c system drive replacement ?
    All my reggies are up there

    Already contacted support and tried the above standalone trick

    I removed everything AGAIN, like support instructed me to
    Removed all Separate combos, removed registry entries and vst plugin directory,

    reinstalled patch for guitar combos 111
    entered the serial number provided
    ran the service center,
    exported the system code ( or whatever that is )
    loaded the export file up on an internet machine, verified,
    saved the exported reg code
    imported into service center
    registered

    It seems to work ok now
    and it sounds good
