Comeback of the Metadata sync?

i havent received the doc with the answers yet... but metadata sync was one of the topics in the doc. i'll report back as soon as i get it.

 

Hi Freshfluke, it's been 3-4 months since your last update - is there any update on this issue?

 

Traktor 2.9.0 update and still no metadata sync - can Freshfluke or anybody say why it wasn't fixed in this update or if indeed if there is any intention to get it fixed in the future?

Perhaps we are just shouting in the dark here ....

 

imo, this won't happen anymore. I don't understand what happened back then. Did Apple disagree with this awesome feature?

 

This is a question NI needs to respond too. Would great if the moderators could comment on this?

 

I think there are lot of people hoping this gets fixed soon. At least some information would be really appreciated.

 

I don't use Traktor dj or Traktor pro to perform. I got traktor dj as part of a promo, and I'm curious about using it with traktor pro (saving your work from one app to the other), and I'm here to learn more before i get on board, buy controllers, etc.

This metadata sync feature between "DJ" and "Pro" looks awesome (doing the "homework" of djing from your phone, your ipad, then showing up at your studio and all of that work is saved!)

This feature is STILL advertised, and there are still support articles about how to use it.
But when you do some research, you find out that it's no longer working, and there's no word about whether it's been totally abandoned, or is coming back soon... This situation is very confusing, and a big red flag for me getting into a "serious relationship" with these products...

Also, looking at this thread is really disheartening: do Native Instruments really just ignore these forums? It sure looks like it.
People have been asking about this feature's return for a really long time, and there is no official voice from the company saying anything about this... wow.

Anyway, bump. Can we get an update please?

 

Somehow nothing happened.
And I still haven't heard a cause why NI dropped this feature, even they promote this feature....

I said this before. Communication with NI is horrible and yet the easiest and fastest thing they can correct. NI continues to go downhill.

 

unfinished products seems to be the trend over here .

 

Would be nice if your helpful moderators would provided some info here.. This has been around for over a year and nothing. yet another example of crap support from NI.

 

I agree, it would be nice if we had some to provide - but we don't (or rather, I don't).

 

I am gonna open a support ticket on this and see what support has to say. It really looks like NI does not have the ability to restore this feature. This is really bad because they heavily advertised this.

My guess is like a lot of other major issue with traktor it will never get fixed and NI is basically trying to sweep this under the rug.

Don't you think a major let down like this could be better communicated from NI?

 

given the actual requests, it's not so major, although nice-to-have and i hope that it will come back as well.

 

Sorry but this is a must have feature. It was the reason many bought Traktor DJ and is the reason why I personally do not use it anymore since withdrawn. Who would want the tedious process of setting the same cue points twice ? Can NI tell us if they are still working on it ? Your post seem to imply that this is no longer a priority ?

 

thank you for those words. exactly this happens imo a lot. too pitty we can't start a poll, right here.
I thought NI gave us this Idea to use the flat Frames, to fiddle with them and maybe for example use it as a backup device... so you wouldn't have to loose the battle and have not even a shiv... something like that.

Point is: I got it on release day. I loved it. heck, you can even play a set on the backseat of a driving car - and live. but nothing I would prefer, no no.
and then they killed the most valuable part of this awesome combination.

What would it take to get this feature working again? another iTraktor 2.0?

I totally agree. Meta data sync was the best thing about traktor DJ and was even using in the promo teaser and video with Ritchie H. To say that it is not a major feature seem more like an excuse. This is a major Failure on the part of NI. So if stem stopped working on traktor Pro NI will do and say the same thing?
