    Hi there,
I am a beginning DJ so please have a lot of patience with me if I ask stupid questions :). I have the old traktor scratch and I have found an usb lp player:
    http://www.wynant-electro.be/product/koolsoundtdj10_usb.html
Will this player be able to work like an controller to scratch live on your pc (like with an real lp player without usb and the traktor sound card thing..) and/or is there an option to get the sound of the lp player in traktor next trough my mp3's (with the usb port).
Or do I need traktor pro for one or all these functions?

    Please respond :)

That turntable is not compatible with Traktor Scratch.
You need an NI soundcard, either the Audio 8/4 or a Certified mixer to use timecode vinyl with Traktor Scratch or Traktor Scratch Pro.
A USB deck will not work in any manner at all.

If you own Traktor Scratch do you not also own an Audio 8 soundcard?

I suggest that you have a good read of the Website and familiarise yourself with the Traktor Scratch Pro software and hardware.

Are there cheaper alternative timecoded soundcards?
If I understand well, I have to buy an native instruments coded lp, buy that turnable and find myself a timecoded soundcard?

No, there are no cheap alternatives. But you stated in your first post that you have Traktor Scratch. You should already have the Audio 8 soundcard and timecode vinyl!

And of course, nobody would consider buying Traktor Scratch unless they also owned decks + a mixer, so I don't know why you are thinking of a USB turntable. Something is wrong here...

    This is not correct.
You have to buy a Traktor Scratch Pro or Duo Package to use Timecode with turntables.

Please refer to the website and read all the available information on a Timecode setup.

Please can you confirm which Traktor Scratch you already have and whether this is a legitimate copy.
