I noticed there is successful users of TS scattered all over this section.

I would like to collect the specs of working TS systems in one area so there is information to reference.

    Cool for you guys!

But in the same time, if it doesnt run well on a C2D, on what will it run?
So anyone of you here with a less high end machine?

    Mine is a XP sp2 P4 2,8ghz (512ko L2 cache)
1,2 gb RAM@333mhz + 80 gb 7200 rpm hard drive + dedicated memory for grafics.

What do you think? Does anybody has the same kind of specs?

my dell computer (see sig) works like a charm.
latency superlow, other things like cache etc. all on maximum.

my old acer was fully tweaked for FS/ T3 combo, but has never seen TS, since i gave it to my boyfriend when i got my dell.

    @ GarySan

My shuttle system is four years old based on the Athlon XP (Socket A) platform.

I purchased my laptop over a year ago, so my systems are far from 'brand new'.

    @ GarySan:
Mine is much older than 3 months!

Had no probs in first gig. (notebook see signature) I experienced one single short pop-out, but apart from this TS was really stable. (Did not use the effects a lot.)

Okay, mine is a little older...

    Dell 5160 laptop
    3.2 GHZ P4 (hyperthreaded)
    1 GB Ram
    100 GB Hard Drive
TS 1.0 (straight off the install CD)
    Windows XP SP2 Home Edition
The OS was Optimized as per the NI recomendations.

The only other thing I had to do was turn off the Hyper Threading. Once that was done it ran fine.

    Absolute no problems.

Same with minimal setting for latency, but for sercure I only use 4ms.

    @GarySan:

Yes, I would definitely like to see someone with much older machines describe how stable their experience has been. I mean dual core and all that is great, but I have a lappie that I've used for 3-4 years now and it works better than some dual-core Macs I've seen do similar tasks....I don't wanna dish out $1,500 for a new laptop right now...

so fellas, with the old configs :) step it up a bit

This looks pretty interesting - that's probably the lowest spec system I've noticed thus far - you are saying no problems at all? audio problems, dropping, hissing, anything at all?

do you use effects, looping, etc or is it just simple mixing mode ?

    thanks for the input

We're gonna make the Rise of The Shitty Laptops with thOrax! :)

No really, i think we understood Core2duos were ok...

I believe its not really relevent to put 10 pages of the same configuration...

SO GUYS LETS MAKE IT OFFICIAL

IF U HAVE A CORE DUO / CORE 2 DUO YOU CAN PURCHASE TS!
(coz it means too that u have at least 1gb of ram too)

    ;)

Lets now unstress the other guys who wanna buy TS...
