computer will not return from hibernate with audio 8 connected

Using Win XP (SP3) with a Toshiba U300 laptop. I prefer to hibernate my laptop sometimes rather than to shut it off all the time. I do not have any major programs running at the time and I have been doing it for years. That and I built my first computer when I was 13 and I am now 33 and far from a n00b. Just saying all this to avoid simple replies to this problem.

When I try to return from hibernate WITHOUT the Audio 8 I have never had a single problem, ever...

When I try to return from hibernate with the Audio 8, every time it just sits there with a black screen.

Using the latest drivers...

Is anyone else able to hibernate with the Audio 8 connected?

 

Use the latest drivers and it should work!

Hibernate mode is old skool. Try using sleep mode instead!

I actually experience the same problem. My only solution to it is to unplug the Audio 8 before closing the lid. Annoying... yes, but it works.

 

Well I have the close lid feature set to not hibernate the computer... but yes I always have to unplug it... pain in the ass if I forget tho...

 

i get the same problem too. would love to have a fix, it's bloody annoying when i forget to remove the audio 8 in time
