Does it have patches? Seems like you were only playing one shots.

good review as per usual flux

the pack sounds good over all with some good variety in the patterns, but in general the individual drum hit that i heard in the vid did not sound that strong.

but the over ll vibe when used in patterns sounded dope, and them bass and other sounds will be very useful as will the drum patterns.

i think as far as ur review vids to add an extra dimension to the review it would not hurt to flip a couple of beats actually put together a track using the sounds or up load a separate vid showing a few beats made with each of the different expansion packs.

but all in all great product and great review, this pack is defo my kinda **** cos like flux i came up on tribe so this kinda **** hit us older dudes in the heart.

i think the concept of saving time diggin is valid if ur a working producer u may not wish to spend hours sorting thru records.

i use records occasionally to so i aint hating on the whole idea of diggin in the crates

nice idea about flux putting a beat together ;)

just how old are you, when will you be drawing your pension

in the UK, crate digging is hard because there are hardly any places to go these days, and most of the places that are there have really hight prices :(

but yes, are very nice review from flux... makes me want to create some of own instrumental loops to chop up in Maschine.

to behonest I would probably have gotten all kinds of hater comments on youtube if I did a beat as well in those videos. fact is I have ADD and am already long winded and spastic enough in those videos. BUT what I could do is some more beat making videos and use just one expansion for each beat. that might be smarter on my part. I hate seeing negative comments on my videos when I do this in my spare time just to help others. so I try to limit doing things that are gonna get negative vibes sent my way. As for record digging... :) thats my heart. I love digging and this pack doesn't REPLACE digging BUT what it does do is give people that kinda sound and chopping mentality which in a ROYALTY FREE way is important. because as much as I love digging. I HATE paperwork to clear samples.
another Amazing sound library that I recommend to all the people (I like cause F the dudes who I don't like lol) is Freshtone vintage tapes. that is a library that really gives you that vintage digging feel when your chopping stuff up. some of the best drum loops I have ever heard too.

anyway I haven't been making many videos because I've been working on some other projects. I have my own sound packs coming soon. and I have been setting up a new computer which has been about 3 weeks of installing and arranging. BUT I'm on vacation for the next week so lets see if I can get some videos done! and please subscribe and share. I need to promote more but to be honest. I have no interest in promoting myself lol.

Ok thats enough Hip Hop and Urban expansions... When are some Deep and Tech House ones going to come out? Something that people are actually producing today... Not all machine users make hip hop :]

No, I have them :] But it must be fair to say that more people are producing House in the UK than Hip Hop... Seems to be aimed more at the states market. Germans are known for their Techno, there's European Trance, Dirty Dutch, Swedish House ;) there could be more variety in the packs is all I'm saying

I agree but I'm pointing out there IS variety
    1) transistor punch = dance crowd (I'm lumping all sorts of electronic music into that ok lets not nit pick)
2)Dark pressure = minimal techno house
    3) true school = hip hop
    4) platinum bounce = comercial rap
    5) Raw voltage = electronic music as a whole (its a very versatile pack with alot of experimental sounds)
    6) conant gardens = underground hip hop

so we have 3 hip hop packs and 3 electronic music packs. seems pretty even to me. what I would say is that now I wanna see stuff gear toward Rock users. yes I said it Rock users.... they are out there and catering to them will help bring em out into the open. I love diversety in music and look forward to these packs. in fact Ireally wanna see some Raw funk packs and also a pack dealing with a more acoustic and choir oriented flavor.

Bring out a alllll instrument maschine pack with choirs , horns, and symphonic bits (sure u could use kontakt for that but this is in a different mindset.)

Yes Flux! A Rock expansion would be incredible! Hip-hop producers may be surprised how useful rock drums and sounds would be for you!

I'm an old hip hip hop head and still remember that the original "hip hop" drum machines were originally intended for rock. Roger linn and roland corp did not make the 808 and the mpc for hip hop it was meant as a tool for rock artists. so I always keep an open ear to other genres and how they can effect what I do.

surely the 808 was meant for 'pop' musicians who were doing solo gigs and needed some drums and singer songwriters who were making demos.

i suppose i am saying that 'pop' music is less heavy than 'rock' music.

'alternative' 'indie' also liked the sound of the 808 and the way it is programmed.

i would be interested to know which kind of rock drums you are interested in - can you name some artists?

i would also love a 'Raw funk' pack as well.

also, a 'Dub Reggae' soundpack would be up my street.

    Great review Flux...
Funk, dub reggae, rock are ALL packs I would be interested in. I'd be really interested in a quality Orchestral one too, and jazz...
obri3n there are many genres out there that have not yet been represented in a Maschine pack. Dance music as a whole has had just as much attention from NI as hip hop, and hip hop isn't just a US phenomenon...;)

Curious if the bass sounds transpose well over the keys.

    some good ideas here guys

think an all instrumental with just instuments across the keys would be dope

someone said a jazz expansion pack, my mind thinks that imagine they made a bitches brew expansion with nuff instruments in the style of the experimental electronic/acoustic hybrid sounds of that 70's era cats like miles, hancock, sun ra, ramsey lewis, bob james, king crimson (or they could do a separate prog rock/ psychedelia rock type pack.

yeah mayne im up dere in age im the same age as dilla when he died. RIP

but yeah digging has gone down here but in a way its good cos i dont wanna spend nuff money on records these days.

there are a few shops left aside from the typical music exchange shops

NI take notes, funk, rock, and some west coast hip hop expansions needed.

Nobody? Instrument list? Any help? I can't tell from that video that Flux posted. Is it just drum kits? No other standalone instruments?
