    Hey all,

Might be the unusually warm British weather frying my brain, but after having updated via Native Access, done the firmware updates for both the Maschine MK3 and the KKMK2 and having a look in the Control/OSC/Web portion of Reaper, assigning Komplete Kontrol DAW - 1 to Mackie Control Universal in there, I can only conclude I must be missing something! Works fine with Maschine MK3, but no luck with KKMK2's transport thus far. I've even gone and removed the extension by Moss for Reaper.

Anybody else gotten theirs setup with the latest update? :) Excited about this update! Thanks again, really appreciate it, Mick @ NI Kai @ NI .

I don't know if this will help, but this is how I set it up in FL Studio.

I JUST GOT IT WORKING WITH REAPER TOO!!! In the MIDI devices panel check that only "KOMPLETE KONTROL [whatever model you have] MIDI" is enabled in both input and output and allowed to send control messages. But check that "KOMPLETE KONTROL [whatever model you have] DAW" is disabled in both input and output. To apply the changes, click on "Apply" (very important for the next step).
Now, go to "Control/OSC/web" and add a new control interface. Then select "KOMPLETE KONTROL [whatever model you have] DAW" as both input and output and click "OK". Then press any transport button on the keyboard and it should work.
For reference, here's is how I have set it up:

    Hope it helps!!! :)

Does this work when connected to a Maschine instance for you on the KK? It works when I set the KK to MIDI mode, but not when I've got a Maschine instance selected. The Maschine MK3 outputs MCU just fine when connected to a Maschine instance (i.e. not in MIDI mode)

Happens the same here. When you have Maschine instance focused, the transport controls go to Maschine instead of going as MCU to Reaper.

Hi ! i got fl studio too, basically i can use loop, play, rec, and stop as a midi controler. Is there some way to be able to use other buttons or that's the only buttons we can use ? Is it possible to assign permanently some knobs / buttons to some functions ??

Unfortunately, I don't think so. MIDI assignements in FL Studio are per-project. However, you may make a template project with the mappings you want.

Damn! Which update is needed? I only got the "komplete kontrol" app updated. Is this enough?

Windows: for MCU to work the important piece of the update is "NIHostIntegrationAgent". It does all the "magic", no firmware update of the keyboard needed. With the 2.1.3 package this file is updated to version 1.8.8 (from previously 1.8,7). Check in Task Manager that the service is running and look in the folder that the file was actually updated.

I am surprised by the big hype in the community... :) It is "only" MCU (and actually only a small subset thereof), i.e. basic transport control. For true integration with Reaper (transport, instance focus, mixer etc.) NI's already existing protocol has much more to offer. If you are on Windows: Simply drop reaper_kontroll.dll into your Reaper's user plugin folder and you have 10x more than MCU. https://github.com/brummbrum/reaKontrol/releases

Thanks for this! However i put the dll to the correct folder but nothing appear on Control/Osc/Web devices. Do you have any basic instructions?
    Thank you

TBD means "To Be Decided" or "To Be Discussed". Right now that combination doesn't do anything yet.
