    hi all,

i can confirm that after RELOCATING tracks in the collection they just disappear in the playlists.

please reply in this thread, if you are missing tracks in playlists without doing a relocate beforehand (maybe just importing from another computer?).

NI is informed and i'll keep you informed.
until then, if you're using 2 computers, i'd recommend to go back to 2.6.5!

Yes. Im having same issue after upgrading to 2.6.6. I created a new playlist.closed traktor.reopened .playlist was blank. Also new tracks that I added to collection and analyzed showed as if they were never analyzed or played. Mac user. I downgraded back to 2.6.5

as far as i can see atm this is only relevant if you're using 2 computers and importing or relocating. if you have your stuff in one place and only use traktor on one computer you should not see this.

No need to have two computers. Simply on my laptop macbook pro 2008 it happens in 2.6.6. I didn't even use separate discs for music in laptop. I just sometimes copy music using external harddrive or usb flash to laptop and import to playlists afterwards. And doing it since first traktor i guess and never had this problem. Yes it's not saving playlists + some other weird stuff happening. Dangerous version! Go back to 2.6.5! Also first time i have to go back to earlier version since traktor was born.

This bug ruined most of our NYE sets and I've not seen an apology from NI.

just posted this on another thread.

2.6.6 started a new wizard set up . which is in a forward only programme. ( as in the only way to get out of it is a forced quit)

i dragged my old "saved in traktor" playlists out of my apple time machine .

Also 2.6.6. put my computer into total meltdown .

The CPU started running at 115%

it also (copy paste of my other thread)
    I have downgraded .
2.6.6. lost all may saved playlists and required a total new wizard set up .
i managed to drag my playlists back through my time machine ,
But 2.6.6. resulted in a bug that was loosing Start up disc space. there was what seemed to be a constant drain / loss on Gig. which after a few hours had used all my start up disc space .

i reverted to 2.6.5. , dragged back my playlists , cleaned out space and created space again , and since have only had 2 problems but 2.6.5. is still has loss of lights and digital display on the controller ..

    EDIT .
i am only using 1 computer . Made Native aware of the problem weeks ago . They sent the standard "we are very busy " reply and nothing since that … ( as per usual , their customer service is appalling )

i did not have the time to test everything properly out, but so far i can see a relation to

    a) relocating tracks and
    b) importing folders as playlists

both i have not done for quite a while, which is why i didnt see this bug so far. i've been using 2.6.6 for a while, also live and had no issues whatsoever - i also built playlists that were saved. so not every workflow is making the bug appear.

    My workflow is this:
    I have folders for music such as Music Downloads/12 2013, Digital Tunes/12 2013, Junodownload/12 2013 etc.
And every month i copy new music from wherever to those folders to be in my laptop, in certain folder so i can find **** in half year where it was if i don't use traktor search which is best anyway :)
Then i have routine of two jobs, open Traktor and sort new music every month to my style playlists such as "hiphop", "Dubstep/Bass", "Groovy/Mellow/Jazz", "Electronica/Ambient", "Reggae", "Dub", "World" etc. I am doing it this way: i open those floders in broswer, analyze every track, check if tempo was right or i have to re-tap it, then i drag every track to certain playlist, i also add comments in bass music tracks, what bass music it is (sub-genre) so i can find more quickly and filter playlist via search during my set. I don't import folders as playlists. So quite long job every time. Maybe it's a bit stupid, but i get used to it and no time to create new workflow :)
Another job is "collecting bag of records" before every gig (because it's too much music, it would be like taking all your room of vinyl everytime without doing this :). So i create everytime new playlist in playlist folder "gigs", for example "Weboogie Pre NYE" and put music to this playlist that i want/might play. I put couple of hours more than my set, so i have choice and tracks are not ending too fast haha. Sometimes i just play from those style folders when set is long and doesn't need to be so tight dancefloor filler, more random...
    That's it.

so it seems that we have at least a workaround for the moment: manually saving the collection (via right-click or hotkey) should save everything as usual.

I downgraded to 2.6.5 right away...

also the fact that you have to make playlists doesn't add up for me since I have all my music organized in folders and subfolders and I keep adding songs to different folders every week so I rather to just go rhough my folders and play music than keep updating and adding playlists everytime I add new songs to different folders....

    2 things come to mind

    1. why aren't these updates released as betas first? it just seems to be a near-continuous process of 1 step forward and 1 to the side and kind of backwards. In another thread recently someone was telling me how a lot of the NI staff play out regularly blah blah...if so how come they aren't the suffering lab rats on some of these BS 'updates'? Seriously, this is some people's work at stake here....you know, as in for money, the bit that (supposedly) puts 'Pro' in Traktor Pro? Sorry for just venting but these updates show up in Service Centre and we're expected to kind of just blindly grab them and hope for the best.

    2. This kind of sh*t isn't news. Updating without making some kind of fully revertable backup or clone is asking for trouble. Same goes for installing prior to a gig without time to test properly or even wait for forum feedback. All that said, big props to people for nailing this down and posting it here, good to see this in CAPS but this stuff should be a sticky or even better an email to registered users.
