I'm new to the concept of gigging with a laptop and controller keyboard and as I will be (hopefully) using B4II I thought this would be a good place to start looking for advice and recommendation on what type of controller kb to use. Please bear with me.

Basically, I want a single kb with "waterfall" action for palm and thumb use. My band will be performing covers of Small Faces and like mod bands so drawbar use is preferable though not essential as I can program my sounds in advance. I will be using a seperate weighted kb for Vintage Keys use so this is not required either. I will want to use an expression pedal for "swell" and another for rotor "run and stop" if possible, although if a button can be assigned to do this I will be happy.

I dont have a huge budget as I have to buy a backline combo amp and usb/firewire sound mixer (otherwise I'd buy a Nord lol) so I am currently looking at the following options:

So far, the only affordable "waterfall" kb I've seen mentioned is the Fatar Studiologic VMK-161 plus Organ - I've heard it has a "waterfall" action although others have said it is "waterfall-like". It also has a dedicated B4II preset, so I've heard anyway. Would this be the best option?

    Others I'm considering are; Axiom 61; M-Audio Radium 61; Evolution MK-461C; Edirol PCR-M80, CME UF8/80

Any suggestions or advice would be extremely appreciated.

Be careful about CME keyboards... How about an axiom?
