    Hi,
I wonder if Guitar Rig works with Delta 1010lt ; how can you connect the guitar to M-Audio Delta 1010lt? Guitar cable should be connected to soundcard directly? Or need any pedal or preamp? Any of the Delta 1010lt input cables is not adjustable for guitar cable by the way. So how Guitar Rig works with Delta 1010lt and how can you connect the guitar to 1010lt?
    Thanks
    Kasmir

Same way you'd connect with any other soundcard- use Rig Kontrol (which has 2 built in DIs, and comes with Guitar Rig). Your guitar goes into ch1 of Rig Kontrol, and both outputs of Rig Kontrol go to your Delta. The second output just gives the Rig Kontrol data; it won't be heard.

I think what kasmir means is that the 1010LT has RCA inputs. If so, kas, you can either get 1/4"-to-RCA adapters, or cables that have 1/4 " on one end and RCA on the other.
I don't think the 1010LT has a preamp, so you will need to run through one if you aren't using the Rig Kontrol.

    Thanks guys for the reply,
You are right PhoenixGTR, Delta has RCA inputs, what I understand is a preamp is necessary for GuitarRig.
    thanks

    Hi

I have Delta 1010-lt too and use it with my guitar and Giutarrig with no problems. I use not first pair 1+2 inputs but input#6( know for sure I dont use it for other stuff) directly connected to giutar cable. In the GRig settings I choose Input Analog In 6. And in the Delta control panel I mute H/W In 6 of course.

There is no necessarity of using preamp in this situation because it will increase input guitar's signal along with all noise residing in it plus small (but noise!) of preamp. If your input signal seems too low it's better to adjust input gain in Delta control panel. I suggest there must be as less components as possible in front of this computer input. But for reducing pickup's e-magnetic hindrance the best solution is the differential active pickup inside guitar subtracting AC magnetic vastly.

    Regards

I've never tried going directly into my Delta 66's inputs, because I always understood from NI that there should be a preamp if Rig Kontrol is not being used. If it works without one and you like the sound, great. I've never had any problem using one. One guitar has EMG pickups which are quiet as anything, the other has passive pickups so I run through my Hush IIC, which I'd have to do using hardware effects as well.
The main thing is, whatever works is great.
