    Hi

Long time owner of S4 MK1 thinking of upgrading to MK3.

Can I connect my Technics decks to 2 of the channels ... for two reasons:

    1. To use the S4 as a mixer for the turntables only

    2. To mix MP3 and vinyl together (eg 2 decks digital, 2 decks technics)

My MK1 "sort of" lets you do this but the sound quality has always been quite poor and no substitute for a standalone mixer.

I read that the MK3 was much more capable in this regard, can anyone comment?

    Cheers

The sound quality of mk3 as a mixer is fine, but can't compare to djm 900 nexus 2

This is a DVS-setup but can be used for standalone turntables also. Only thing I noticed is when I use the S4 mk3 in stand alone mode the main output volume is way louder the when used with Trakor Pro3. Printscreen NI 17.jpg

Do you use headroom when working with TP3?

    Thanks for the replies.

Well, I bought the MK3 and it's absolutely awesome. And the vinyl set up is far, far superior to the MK1. You can genuinely use the controller as a mixer. Sound quality is very decent.
