    Well all,

Reaktor 4 Looks nice but functionaly is a mess (the VSTi version), I just can not see the point in using Reaktor 4 verse Reaktor 3 in its current state, so I am trying to decide if I should just un-install version 4 and just re-install version 3.

Untill NI decides to fix problems in R4 that were not in 3 mostly appending, snapshot issues, unsaved ensembles, unsaved patch changes and all the things that were "not" an issue in version, I guess its some what pointless to be bothered, it has become more of a headache to use version 4 that a tool to create music with, I dont want to have to spend the 1st 30+ minutes of each session re-setting reaktors instances and having to be carefull I never let the marker reach the 1st bar in fear of a complete reaktor reset, its just silly.

I even went as far as calling tech support and they said the patch reset issue is my host's problem, but I dont see how considering version 3 did not have this problem where as version 4 does lol.

Ohh well, glad I have the option to use version 3 untill 4 is in a workable state, as it stands currently the only thing version 4 is good for is the stand alone or a stock vsti where you dont wanna bother making any patch changes since they wont be saved or remembered in your host app.

I hope they get this stuff worked out quick, because I was really excited with the prospect of version 4, but its just more hassle than worth while to use in its current state.

    Cheers!

    Happy R3 user here

I'm back to using R3 for some time now - don't be shy - it's not our fault R4's a bug monster. What I get out of R3 is indespensable in my work, and unless I'm totally convinced the latest R4 patch is actually better than R3 what's the point?

    Hi Tox

I'm not great with computers and I've had trouble with R4. So I'm still using R3 comfortably and don't feel I'm missing much. The new one really isn't that different - despite all the guff. You know some people are still using R2 ...apparently? There you go.

Of course - go back to it - anything for a bit of piece of mind, eh?

You have to admit though, when you pay for a product, it would be nice to be able to use it, thats like saying, Well I have a PIII 900mhz and I just bought a P4 2ghz but I will stick with the PIII untill they actually get the P4 to work..

Ohh well I suck at anologys but you get the point lol..

I'm a mac+logic user it's why i Quote www.osxaudio.com . I love the sounds, the power and the ideamaker that is Reaktor... The prob is that all those ideas that it brings to my mind crash with logic :(
Maybe it's time to go back to my hardware synth (That are full off potential) and stop wondering. It's all about music.

PS: I miss all those little smyles from other forums, it would make this forum a bit more colorfull!
