As above, what would be the best, they both dont have jog wheels but to be honest i find myself using them less and less on my vci

What would you buy, X1 is released on my birthday and could be a excelent present or do i get the vestax tr1

    all opinions would be helpfull

with the tr1 you can mix 4 decks without putting your hands onto the club-mixer. with the x1 you can control 2 decks + you have to use the club-mixer (or you are able to use it with some modifiers to control everything -> lot of effort and experience)

one more suggestion: livid instruments ohm 64 (loads of buttons, knobs, sliders)

well i got my vestax tr1 and i love it. Much better than the vci in my opinion for the stuff i do, i dont need jog wheels and the build quality is excelent, also saved me needing 2 vci for 4 deck control.

I found it very easy to use and have been putting together some pretty solid mixes.
With traktor now adding the function of 4 effects with 1.2.3 it kinda screws the tr1 up a bit as it only visually has enough for 2 but with a little mapping it could work

Cheers to steven at Soundware for doing my custom map and supplying the kit, oh and dont forget he also does custom grids for annoyingly awkward tracks

    top guys

    cheers
