Control Traktor with 2 Xone 1D without external Mixer

Hi all, currently im using a hercules control steel for a 2 deck control setup. Now i want to use all 4 decks.... but i dont have enough money for a xone 92. My question is... would a setup with only two xone 1d controller work fine with a 4 deck Setup? Is it possible to map the endless buttons at the top of the controller as high-eq? My second idea was a combination of a xone 1d and a kontrol x1... which setup would be better?

Should work just fine.

I'm currently mixing with a single 2D (the same as a 1D, but with audio interface, etc.) but I use an external mixer. I'm thinking about adding a 1D (if I don't get CDJ-400s for HID, but that's another story), so that I have separate deck controls/jog wheels, etc. But with 8 up-faders, you could easily mix in the box with that kind of setup.
