Controlling Maschine with MPD?

I've had my Maschine MK1 since around 2010, and last night it finally gave in. I've been having issues for a while with it, and last night was the final straw. 4 of my pads are now non responsive.

I can't afford a replacement, and most of my tracks are prepared for live performance so I really need to be able to control Mashine with another controller. I have an MPD 32.

Is it possible to trigger drum samples in Maschine with the pads on the MPD? I own the license to the Maschine 2 upgrade too.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Ps. I work in Abelton with Maschine as a VST. I rarely use standalone mode.

    Done it. Anyone else interested.

    1: Start Abelton
2: Set patch on MPD 32 to Generic (not Abelton Live)
    3: Add Maschine to channel
4: Opeb Maschibe, select a kit
5: In the piano roll, just above the "Len" option is a drop down arrow. This is next to the name of the kit.
6: Select "Sound Midi to Batch Setup"
7: Select last option "Sound to MIDI notes"
8: Set root key as C1 ... this is because on the MPD the first pad starts at C1

    Bingo. All done :D

Took me a while to figure that out, but I'm sooooo happy I can now perform live without having to buy another Maschine.

I'm in the same boat right now, but new to this. I got a MPD218 and trying to do the same thing.
Every time I hit a pad
    e.g pad1
it plays the first drum/sample, but when I hit the next pad
    e.g. pad2
it plays the same drum/sample just an octave higher and keeps doing so on each pad I press.
It never plays the 2nd drum/sample unless I click on that specific one.

Can anyone help me out. Is there a something I'm not setting up correctly or is it just not compatible.

    Thanks in advance.

    1-Select yourself a drum kit
    2-Go to group
But it works 3-Under midi. Select your mpd of choice

Down side you have to switch it off
when trying select another sound and record
