How can I copy a sequence in an ensamble (so I can move the notes around in my host) I'm in the middle of projects and it's very time consuming to learn the program so I do as much as I can, any help?

    sorry you can't do that.

which ensembles are you talking about?

Sorry, I mean't copying a sequenced synth ensamble. For instance the "Blue Matrix" has a sequence I like, but I want to change some notes around. Can't I copy the midi pattern it is playing (as midi in my host) Cubase 4

I see in the manual where you can import midi files in standalone only but the sequenced ensambles are grayed out. I was refering to doing this while using Reaktor as a plug in not standalone.

but it is NOT a MIDI Pattern. Blue Matrix uses step sequencers, but they are internally wired to the Synth in Blue Matrix, they do not send out MIDI.

if you want to change the notes, you need to do so with the Blue Matrix Sequencer.

SQP is a Reaktor sequencer that does send out MIDI notes.

Ok so let me understand, you cannot export midi files from any sequence ensambles as midi. The files are made from step sequences within the ensambles. You can however edit the patterns from within the ensambles correct?

i know this is not entirely on the subject, I've had no real reason to go ahead and try, but isn't 'Note Pitch/audio signal to Midi' converting possible within reaktor?

you can indeed use an Audio signal to generate MIDI Pitch material in Reaktor. but as with all systems like this, it is very hit or miss and depends on the audio material.

but as you say, this is a completely different subject ;)

i can imagine the accuracy is not going to be perfect, but i'm gonna give it go at some point, cause i would love to shout down a microphone and generate phat synth sounds :). but also play a guitar into a reaktor synth without the need for an external converter.

so you need to have a look at :-

    MS-20 v3.2 by Roman Belavkin

    http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?id=userlibrary&type=0&ulbr=1&plview=detail&patchid=3449

this is a classic Korg MS-20 emulation. it has an external signal processor which was built to do the things you describe above, including pitch tracking.
