I don't overclock. I have a Q9450, 4GB DDR2 and Vista HP 64, and Massive never got to more than some 20% with very complex chords and effects.
But I do get clicks etc, depending on the (dis)harmonics of the chords, and this not only in Massive, but even more in Absynth. They also seem to be linked to digital delay.

I don't know if this thread is still being monitored, but I would just like to let you know that Massive 1.1.5 does not run properly on windows 7 64-bit. It is spiking and performing at 30% for a sound that runs at 20% on the same setting on a pentium M (5 years old). This is in standalone mode.

    Computer specs are :

    Processor is AMD Phenom II X6 1055T, Thuban, Sok AM3, 2.8GHz, 9MBCache.
    4Gb (1333mhz) DDR3.
    M-Audio Firewire Audiophile
    512Mb Gforce XfX Graphics.

Would you be able to address this issue please as it is stopping users benefiting from the 64-bit operating system and technology.

And I need massive..... for the moment.

    Thanks,

    Fhyio

Win7 64 bit x58 i7 920. Massive barely registers a blip. About 8-10% max with ultra on heaviest patches using chords.

Not that this will help your problem Fhyio123 but i would recommend going back to windows xp for your production computer. Theres something in vista and win 7 that doesnt let your soundcards hardware do certain things and i think atleast in my eperience that is what cause my windows 7 machine to be kind of uselessly slow when it came to loading up multiple instances of massive in my DAW.

I have a slower machine than you have (older amd phenom processor and slower memory) but on windows xp my soundcard takes most of the heat of the rest of the system and i run ultra quality mode easily for everything i need to create.

so perhaps its not so much Massive or your pc, but windows. (i beleive this is also a reason alot of producers actually use apple systems, its not persse faster, but just liek older windows, a bit more efficient with it's hardware / software interaction)

im not 100% sure it works like this but i used to have windows 7, i bought it, and quite soon afterwards i took it of my pc and put it on a shelf because i just couldn't produce in that enviroment.

    Hello,
I work quite fine with Massive, choosing sometimes the ECO mode, but not necessarily (I hear the difference of quality anyway, it is very clear for my ears).
Massive asks a lot from the pc, but gives very good results indeed.

I run XP on a dual core 2,54Ghz, 3Gb ram, and use a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra (set at 11 ms, value that I increase, only if needed, without being frustrated at all).

The setting of the PC is crucial and on this site NI provides very good tips to do it (I followed all instructions and enjoyed the result).

My laptop is dedicated to music, no other annoying software is installed (not even Office), I never connect it to internet (unless I have to register stuff I buy), I don't mess the register installing softwares I don't really need, don't play videogames or make other silly stuff, just make music with it and my dear gentle laptop is working happily and sane.
And Massive is a great weapon for many many reason.

    Thanks Native Instruments! :)

Hey sorry, I know this is slightly off topic, but I can't figure out how to create a thread. This may be a stupid question but whatever, I'm going insane from this. I'm using the plug-in NI Massive in FL Studio 8, and when I open Massive, I am unable to change the size of the window, or scroll down, so I can only use half of the plug in as the bottom half goes off-screen. Does anybody know how to make it smaller or scroll? Any ideas or help is appreciated, this is driving me nuts
