I've decided to ASYNC my tracks and play a few tunes while wrapping Christmas Presents for my kids and I notice that the CPU meter in Traktor Scratch Pro is not registering at all ... and while I write this in Firefox I can see my iStat Menu CPU Meter (2 vertical bars and percentage for my Core 2 Duo processor) sitting over 60% for each core.

Traktor itself is using 108% of available processor power (2 cores therefor Activity Monitor totals 200%) with my other background stuff barely registering ... the thing is why have a CPU meter when it obviously doesn't work?

    Anyone else with this problem?

    frankle,

Maybe it's measuring how much Traktor itself is using, rather than the load average of the computer?

Well that would be pointless ... and Traktor was using over half of the available processing power of the computer anyhow ...

I'll check this weekend if it has been fixed in the current release ...

Never had it crackle and **** with the Audio 8 DJ, I either use 1.0ms when just using 2 decks or 2.5ms when using 4 decks just to be safe. I can also be on my wireless broadband at a gig downloading tracks from my home server if I need them (and updating my FaceBook status like everyone does these days!) and have never had an issue no matter how much CPU was being used.

It is only measuring how much power is used for audio processing. This is the case in most, if not all, audio apps!
