    Hey there,

Maschine MK3 User since 2018. Had lot of Fun till 2019, then I started to produce more and more DAWLESS.
I wanted to listen to some old Beats, and now I'm dead inside.

Nothing changed, my Computer is the same - all Plugins and Apps are updated. I run a i7 8700 6x3.7 / 32GB Ram DDR4 / 2x EVO M.2 SSD on WIN10 64bit with an Babyface Pro.

Now....Buffersize was standard on 128, my Beats are not that crazy 5-6 Groups and 1-2 Plugins/FX. In the Past, I never saw the CPU Meter goin up. NEVER. Now I open a new Project, run a Arturia Synth (Mini V3) and the CPU Meter is goin UP and DOWN. I check the Tast Manager on Windows, and there is like 7% CPU Load, and 11% RAM ......

I start to play the Synth with NI RAUM and the Crackle begins like in the early 2000s when Plugins began to deal with your Computer.

Ok so lets raise that Buffersize to 512, I NEVER switched to 512 because I hate that Latency when I play the Piano etc.....whatever lets check.....still crackles.....MASCHINE CPU Load Party......Win Task Manager.....chillin'.

I checked everything since yesterday and I'm really freaked out now - could it be that the New Updates changed that? So i will need to buy a New PC to listen to my 2019 beats with Neutron, Raum etc on it?

I checked my old Cubase Projects with Nectar 3, Ozone 9, Neutron 3, Autotune Pro.....no cracke with 512 and those Plugins takin' it ALL.

What the Hell NI.......am I doin sth wrong or are you really kidding me....PLEASE HELP

Does the same happen if you load maschine as a plugin in cubase with the same project?
I don't think you will need a new PC as min which is 10 year old hardware a Q9550 @ 3.6ghz.still runs maschine fine. RME here too (hdsp)
Isn't there a multi core on off switch in maschine settings somewhere?

I have the same setup. Same cpu etc.
There was recent windows updates that maybe revert back your power management or optimization wi does settings as it often happens.
Just double check all windows 10 optimization for music production (disk priority, Power set to high performance, etc...)

I was about to order a new PC System because about 10 People told me that my System is too old....You Sir saved my Day, Life and Bank-Account. How can I thank you for that Hint.....Thank you so much - playing my old beats at Buffersize 256 with multiple NI Raum's....almost none CPU Usage....What a Feeling, Thank you!

No problem:). Fortunately for me too that computer is not old !!
I personally can't lower buffersize too much because my Sound Card is firewire and 15 years old. I can record at 32 if necessary which is great , but with nvme drives it handles 256 at 96khz pretty well. I wish I'd have a babyface though ;)

    Enjoy!

Babyface really kills it at Tape-Return-Recording - but FW with 32? Wow - that kills everything :D I'm happy when I put BS on 128 or 64 at max, but only at the Beginning of Recording :D

OLD? Never take advice from those 10 people ever, again... block them from your life.

I have pretty much the same system with a crappy Scarlet 2i2 and I run a buffer of 32 or 64 with 30-50 Kits no problem... I never needed to go above 128.

I can't help much with Windows issues but it's definitively not a PC HW problem.
