    Hi!

I've been using Reaktor 5 for months without any problems, but recently re-installed my soundcard software (Audigy 2) and now I get this message when using some of the ensembles in Reaktor:

"Processor overload! Audio processing has been stopped! The program cannot reduce the number of voices further and your computer cannot generate this number of voices at the given samples rate. Please reduce the sample rate or the complexity of the ensemble and restart audio processing"

Does anyone know what's going on, because I never had these problems before? I run Windows XP on a Pentium 4, 2.80 GHz with 512 MB RAM. Any help would be most appreciated and if I ever get my crappy music released, I'll include your name in the 'thank you' section of the booklet!

i had cpu overload problems because of midi out in the past
althought it seems to be fixed for me now

Have you tried doing a "system restore" to a date before you reinstalled?

If that doesn't work try searching the web with your card name, model#, and error message, or any combination of those. You might not get the exact answer your looking for but you should get some clues at least. Chances are it's something to do with the registry or dll.

If that doesn't work try doing a "system recovery" as windows is starting up, if your computer supports that feature. If you can do this everything you installed will be uninstalled, but your user data will be saved. If you have any user in R5 or anything else itself pull them out and put into a seperate folder just to be safe.
I would be very surprised if this method didn't work.

Take my advice at your own risk. Computers can be unpredictable sometimes. Something can always go wrong. If you read my recent post "Off topic but Urgent HELP!" you'll see what I mean.

    Why did you reinstall anyway?

perhaps you've changed the latency settings for your soundcard?
