I'm getting extreme cpu spikes in different DAWs and on different PCs when using the Noire Piano with tempo changes. Everything is okay as long there is no tempo change. But drawing in some of these changes maxes the cpu-meter in Kontakt and my DAWs out. If I change the piano to e.g. Vintage D, everything is fine again. Could somebody confirm?

Bump. I’m experiencing the same thing in Cubase Pro 10.5 and Logic X (current version). Ableton seems to handle it better, but I’m not doing orchestral mockups in ableton ever again. Not only do the CPU spikes happen on Noire, but a handful of other Kontakt libraries. Cycles, Damage, all my Output instruments, and Gravity to name a few.

The cause is Replika delay being bypassed (yes it's weird). You can enter instrument edit mode and look for FX slots where Replika is loaded (check instrument busses and send FX), if you see a Replika bypassed, just remove it from the patch, it should help as a workaround until a fix arrives.

Dang quick response EvilDragon! You the man. I will try this out on Noire. Perhaps there are similar fixes for my other libraries under the hood? I’m thinking anything that has a time based delay or tempo synced LFO?

Tempo synced LFOs and the old delay are fine. This is just bound to Replika being bypassed in busses or sends.

I'm running into this too. Anyone know if it has been fixed yet? Unfortunately, I am unable to run Native Access right now and am waiting on help from NI Support (so I can't see if there is an update, let alone get them if they are there). Do most/all libraries that use the internal Replika delay have this issue?

Oh, one other data point, I'm not sure if ED meant to say it was *only* a problem when Replika is bypassed (vs. active), but at least for me it doesn't matter if it is bypassed or not. Removing it was the only thing that made a difference for me.

I confirm that this is a very annoying bug...
This is a shame that such an expressive piano can't be properly used with frequent tempo changes.
I bounce tracks to avoid this but it isn't an ideal workaround.

Just bumping this again to see if anyone has a fix? I've got rid of all the Replika inserts as suggested by EvilDragon but still the problem persists. Whenever there's a tempo change, Noire pops and clicks even on the Basic Pure preset with no Particles, FX or noises added.
