    hmmmmm...

after what seemed lie years of faithful service, my traktor has started crashing randomly... tonight in a pro situation... dreadful... luckily i had cds with me, and it worked out ok in the end, but truly terrifying.

will a reinstall clean it up? or do i need to look at my mp3s?

What version of Traktor are you using, which driver versions are installed, which OS do you use?

    sorry...

white macbook 13", os 10.5.8, traktor - latest, kontrol x1, audio 4 - all latest.

what's even more annoying (other than leaving a nightclub in silence) is i spent the day ripping tracks from vinyl, did loads of gridding, closed the computer, went to the club... traktor crashes and the database was back to where it was before all the rips.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    aaaaanyway.

if you set the grids and cues, they should be written in the ID3 tag so your info should not be lost

    all gone.

i think there was a corrupt mp3 fle in there somewhere that was mking things behave strangely.

i've reinstalled everything anyway ( iwas in fact on 1.26... my bad)

things seem to be fine now.

    very annoying, and, moreover, embarrassing...

On 1.25 or 1.24 I lost all my playlist info during sound check at a gig. It was on a Windows XP system and I've since switched over a Macbook Pro since on OSX 10.6. I guess you can never be too safe and always have backup cds/iPod mix ready to go as a backup.

Traktor writes all cues, loops and info direct into the file - if you have your tracks not write protected the cues and all are not lost!
try to reimport the files without moving on the hdd.
