Crate Digging Search Features

I absolutely love being able to mix while I dig for new songs to purchase. What I would like to see would be some right click functionality for tasks such as:

* Search for this artist
* Search for this release
* Search for this label

Basically being able to right click on whatever field and be able to "smart search". This would provide cleaner search results for those that are researching new tracks. Being able to save search queries in a smart playlist way would be excellent as well.

 

Good news!
We thought so too and enabled the contextual search (via the magnification glass icon in most fields) for Beatport / Beatsource searches.
This will be available in the next beta.

Heya! I wasnt too sure where to post this since its not a bug or a feature request really - I noticed when using the contextual search, it is basically doing a search for the words in the field - this makes sense to some degree, but it is a bit different than I expected. For example, if I found a track a like by "Thomas Hoffknecht" on beatport, I could click on the artist name to bring up that particular artists releases, or click on the release to bring up the rest of the tracks on that relase. When doing the same search via traktors contextual fields, it brings up "Thomas Hoffknecht" but also continues to bring up anything with Thomas in it, making the feature not that much useful beyond what was possible simply entering the search terms into the field yourself. Just some feedback as I wasnt sure where to direct this info to.
