CRAZY Remix Decks After Update - Losing my mind

Ok, so I've never had a single problem with a Traktor update (and honestly wondered why so many people found it so difficult). Well, my good run is over.

Just got the new X1, so I updated to 2.6.3 as needed. Everything seemed to work perfectly on startup, until I tried to load a Remix Set.

First, I got several messages for various samples saying Traktor was unable to load them because they were "missing or corrupt". However, if I clicked on All Remix Sets, then clicked on the specific Remix Set in question, all of the samples were present and functional. I could drag the individual samples to any deck (including the Remix Decks) and they would play perfectly. But, if I tried to load the SAVED Remix Set, I would get the warning. Furthermore, only a few samples (out of up to 64) would load into the Remix Deck, even though only a few were supposedly corrupt or missing. And, if I dragged a sample up to a deck manually, it would suddenly disappear from the browser completely.

I wasn't able to "relocate" the samples by right clicking on the "bad" files, because there was no yellow exclamation mark next to it indicating there was a problem. But, obviously Traktor thought there was a problem.

Also, attempts to load a custom Remix Set at one point kept randomly loading (partially) one of the stock Traktor demo Remix Sets (congo samples would just pop up in the Deck out of nowhere then disappear, as would the name of the Remix Set). I had to close and reopen Traktor to stop it, and I've haven't had it happen since.

Here's the worst part. If I go back to 2.6.2, the same thing is now happening. Something about the upgrade has made a global change to the way all my versions of Traktor are reading my saved Remix Sets. I was literally using 2.6.3 without a single issue right before the upgrade, WITH my Remix Decks.

Upon closer inspection, it looks like the problem only occurs with Remix Decks that contain loops from sample packs I purchased (Loopmasters, for example, and these are legitimately/legally purchased sounds). If any of these samples are present in the set somewhere, the whole thing goes crazy.

I'm using the latest version of OS X on a mid 2012 MacBook Pro i7 with 8 gigabytes of RAM. Does anyone have a clue what's going on? Thank you in advance for any assistance or insight.

It may be related to the bug that prevents traktor from reading mono files. If you converted those samples to stereo they would probably work.

My recommendation BTW is to do a Time Machine backup before putting the new version on and then if you have issues like you've just experienced you can reload your system back to the state it was just before the upgrade.

Didn't the mono file problem get fixed in 2.6.3? Also, these files were working perfectly in 2.6.2, and I did nothing to alter them. They should still be stereo, since most of them are commercial sound packs, so I don't understand why Traktor suddenly thinks they are missing/corrupt. Furthermore, the samples will play in Traktor if I drag them from the browser (in the list of all the samples contained in the Remix Set), but they just won't load when I drag the whole set into an empty Remix Deck.

It's because the remix set has not been saved. This sounds strange but look at your content import folder for each of the sets that do not work. more than likely you are missing files there.

Traktor saves the samples in kind of a strange and annoying way.

And after an update I have had to delete all my sets. And delete the content import folder sets as well. located in the music folder for Native Instruments.

here is a link to how I go about keeping my remix sets working, and manage samples I create in Traktor. So far this is the only way I can get usable remix sets that don't lose files.
    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=189792

The best I can explain is that if a sample is not saved to the sample folder(traktor designation) then exported and saved as a set. Then the work you are doing to make the set completely deleted and the saved set imported. You do not have all the samples in the content import folder. So then any change or update does not see those files.

You need every remix set to be saved to the content import folder, but traktor tends to save more than one version and so on more conflicting files.

    Confusing? Very!
My post on how to save is the only way I have found.
I would put in a feature suggestion but I have no Idea what to call it or even a full understanding of what is happening.

Hope this helps somewhat. But I am afraid any sets you made yourself will not be brought back unless they were saved intact.
NI sets should work just delete the content import folder set and import again.
The Content Import folder needs to be clean get rid of sets that don't work and import again.

Also Count is correct if any files were mono(low bitrate) those may show up blank or make a horrible buzz.

"Also, attempts to load a custom Remix Set at one point kept randomly loading (partially) one of the stock Traktor demo Remix Sets (congo samples would just pop up in the Deck out of nowhere then disappear, as would the name of the Remix Set). Thanks for the response! I'll try it out when I get home.

Anyone have an idea why the Remix Deck problem would suddenly occur? Every update prior to this has left my custom Remix Sets fully functional, so I obviously wasn't saving any of the sets incorrectly before.
