Hiya im relatively new to Maschine and i have this problem that i thought i would fix by adding more RAM to my computer
    so i went from 4GB to 12GB, 1067MHz DDR3
i have an imac running OSX 10.9
    2.8 GHz intel core i7
when i play back the song that im working on it sum times crackles and slows up a bit...anyone have any suggestions please:) its making it very difficult to work on stuff:( i am in 64 bit mode as well forgot to add...
    cheers

I would take a look at the soundcard settings, mess with the latency a bit and see if that helps. I'd get crackling/slow-downs a lot when I had it too low.

out of curiosity are you on maschine 1.8 or 2?
i am running a quad core i7 as well and haven't had this problem and I am using 1.8.2 maschine software.

go to File, Preferences, Audio and there is your buffer size. make sure its around 512. also, make sure you have over 25% on space in you hard drive, as this effects performance. in bigger projects more rame is needed. 4 probably isn't cutting it. to help with the performance impact when you make an idea, internally sample it and delete the original so it dont have to keep reading the midi data as this take up more processing than audio files.

you should really make a new thread though. its rude to the original poster
