There are some tracks which I'd like to see in two tempo areas of my library when I'm sifting thru during a gig deciding what to play next. For instance, if I'm playing a hip hop or trap house set around 70 BPM, or if I'm in a Baltimore club style groove around 140, I might have a track with an intro that would work well in both areas. How can I duplicate a track so it appears twice in my library at two different tempos but that wouldn't disappear if I hit "Remove Duplicates' in a playlist.

why not just hit the x2 bpm button whenever you see a 70 bpm song that would be useful to use in a 140 bpm set? or v/v with 1/2 bpm button?

I actually did map the /2 & x2 to buttons on my midi controller recently for this reason but unless I actually visually see the track in that tempo vicinity as I'm browsing then most of the time I miss the opportunity to play it. The goal is to get certain tracks listed in both BPM ranges.

why don't you try finding the tracks that you would use at both bpm ranges in this case and use the comment field and write like "70/140" so when you type whatever bpm you want in the search box, it'll come up at both times.

if none of the suggestions work for you then you need to make a second copy of the music file on your HDD with a different name. Traktor will not see it as a duplicate then.
