Solved Creating Group Bank "9" from Controller

Hey Gang,
Anyone know if Group Bank "9" and above can be created from the Maschine controller?

Not shure if this is what are you after but - if you press a shift button you can switch to another set of groups using group buttons.

When you have 8 used , hold shift , it should show group a lit , that is the first bank , press group b and that will create the next bank , and so on.
Then to switch between banks , hold shift and select which bank you want

 

Wish it would do that for the pads as well, I could really use another 16 for percussion tracks. I like to have at least 4 very similar snares to get a more live feel.

 

If you dont require much control you can use the Zone Menu to stack several samples into a single pad, or stack them in Kontakt or Battery also inside just one Pad; the latter offers more control but is a bit more complicated.

 

Thanks Al'Dread, but I still can't reach "Group Bank" 9 and above from the controller. This shift key only gets me to 1 - 8, unless I'm doing something wrong.

 

Good lord, you have more than 64 Groups on a project? What kind of CPU do you have to able to do that?
To go beyond H8 you can move to the left in mixer view, or in the arranger, or ideas view, there are many pages where you can do it. From the mini pads, I dont think it's possible.

 

Intel Core i9-7980XE and it doesn't even breathe hard lol!
Yes I know how to in software, just wanted to know if it could be done from the controller.

OFFTOPIC: If you're ever bored could you load a random expansion Kit into a new Group while Maschine is playing until you get audio dropouts, I'm very curious to see how Maschine behaves with such a high core count, with a task manager screenshot? If it's too much of an annoying request I understand. Do it for science!

 

lol. I planned to do just that. Wanted to see what $2k got me! But I really got behind in doing some tracks for this community group and can't tell when/if I'll ever get around to it. If I ever do, I'll be sure and drop you a note.

 

really strange that you can hold select and go to the empty group tab but then press group a does not create one?

My mistake, misread what you wanted to do , thought you wanted group 9 , not bank , there’s only 8 banks /64 groups from the group buttons

 

No you can create more than 64 groups also from hardware, like D said in the mixer group view for example.

 

Ok , cool , I don’t think I’d ever get past 64 groups , I’ll check it out tho ,
Is it limited to certain controllers, can the mikro mk3 do that ?

 

Haha yes I also don't need it I even can't remember using more than 8 groups - but if you can do it with mikro mk3 I don't know but I doubt it
