So, I have to save all the presets for one of my 3rd party synths one-by-one....which is fine enough. But on the hardware, I'd like to be able to browse the presets by sub-banks.

I have created sub-bank folders by "type" in the respective plugin folder in the NI designated user folder....but these sub bank folders do not show up in the hardware (or software) browser. It just populates one giant preset list.

Any idea what i'm doing wrong.. or maybe this just isn't possible?

Sub Banks aren't editable unless you use unofficial methods. (they're intended for officially supported Libraries)

Nothing about instruments is defined by folder structure, including "Type", it's a tag... You can add any tag (Type) and sub-tag (Character) you want on the edit menu, including creating new ones.
