Better than that Bigcess, if you want to probe your are not a liar and avoid to lose your credibility forever, send me a private message with "what you saw", I will keep the secret until is released, so then others can verify by a third party (me) if you are full of bullshit or not.

I think biggcess's intentions were good. If I was given a peek at an upcoming update or product, but was told to keep it on the hush, I would as well. If it's a legitimate, feature enhancing update (not some weak minor one) then I would be pumped as well and want to share in the excitement. Problem is, I think it's pretty obvious that Maschine users have been clamoring for certain improvements and have been left waiting until what was eventually an underwhelming update. I still have my Maschine MK1 and was blown away (bugs and all) with the smooth workflow and ability to quickly create rhythms and ideas. I am however surprised that all these years later it hasn't evolved into more. Maybe I'm being unreasonable, and I'm sure it's not easy to develop. But I too would like major improvements to the software, sequencer (song mode) the addition of audio tracking, as well as some news that eventually there will be some sort of Maschine DAW.

 

I'm really surprised at the seeming vitriol some of us are throwing at biggcess. What he said was similar to what Mark de Clive-Lowe said: ie he's seen some great stuff in unreleased iterations that address problems a lot of long term users will enjoy. I'm sure there was another (semi-famous) user who said something similar a couple of years ago now. I do not think anything Biggcess said was self aggrandising; he was excited about what he saw, and wanted to share that excitement with his Maschine peers...
Seems to me obvious that NI do have a plan for Maschine, but it also seems obvious that, their NKS ish, and other boring stuff, gets in the way of the juicier stuff most of us want to see....
I'm sure there are many people Ni have shown their better ideas to, and I'm sure they're all surprised it's taking them so long to get it to the public.

 

He probably just thought people would be more excited about NKS than they are.

And who knows? Maybe most people are. This forum is just a minuscule fraction of the overall user base.

Well if you look at the timeline of my posts, I told you all to expect big things prior to NKS launching. When NKS launched I told you all that is not what I was referring to.

When NI made a post to the forum (See Maschine Update). I wrote "There it is!!" Because 2.4 was one of the things I had heard about, but didn't give any other details about it and was purposefully vague (look that one up to) because some of the things I heard about it (enhancements) at IMSTA FESTA were not listed in the thread post.

I also told y'all that there is another product that I SAW that is to be released as well, but NI has made no mention of it. No promotional videos, no emails to users, nothing. That product, I actually witnessed in action.

I get it, as I said before, I have small children. You're mad at me because I won't share. Grow up. Half of what I told you came to fruition (again, check the timeline) and as I said before, I hid the name of the next product to be launched in this very thread in one of my posts. If you're okay with going through posts to prove me wrong. Go through them again and find out if your clever enough to find the answer.

 

I'm also interested in this particular topic because I put a payment down on a used (like new condition) Maschine Studio at my local Guitar Center. I have about another week until it's available, and it would suck if I finally pick one up and they announce a new upcoming Maschine Studio. From what has been said though, it seems more in line with software enhancements and not hardware. I'm having a hard time making up my mind whether or not I should just pull the trigger as there are always new products in the pipeline. It is priced pretty well tho

To the rest of y'all I do apologize for trying to give y'all some hope. Honestly there was no intent on my end to be malicious or to seek attention or to hijack the thread. If you see from my other posts in this very thread, I had engaged in other conversations other than my findings to keep the thread going and engaging, but some of you just HAD to jump all over me in an attempt to use reverse psychology to have me break a promise I made to someone I respect in the game.

On my kids, I ain't trying to be that guy. There are others out there trying to make me out to be that guy, but I'm glad to see that there are those out there that are able recognize this and have understood and respected my decision.
