how do we tweak the crossfader in the Z2 if we want to cut sharp on it. i feel like it has a lag even when the XF curve is set all the way sharp. I removed the mini inno crossfader only to find a button on bottom. im tried to calibrate it but found no luck on to make it sharp.

I am having the same problem , the right side of the crossfader is letting some of the sound go thru . doesn't completely cut the sound . I pressed the button on the bottom of the fader itself and still no luck . is my mixer defective ?

    Use Traktor for calibration

    Hi,

if you have an issue with the volume level of the channel faders and crossfader, please use the latest Traktor version to calibrate the device first. This suggestion is also true if you intend to use th mixer without Traktor. Please find more information here:

But this unfortunately does not fix the physical lag of the Faders.

E.G On my Z2 the lag/cut-in on the right side of the XF is an excellent 1,2mm but on the left it is over 3mm. :(

i have to set the Calibration through the software but i feel like the innofader is still not sharp enough to cut on like a real innofader. even with the XF curve turned all the way to the sharpest there is still a lag. the 5mm is just not working for me.. is there any way of making the cross fader sharper?

This is from the DJTT interview with innofader designer Elliot Marx.

The Z2 faders all have a cable hookup which could allow for calibration from the outside of the mixer. I’m not sure if this was implemented and it’s possible that this function was removed as we already do very precise factory calibration (1/2mm cut-out, 1mm cut-in). There is still a button available on the Mini Innofader itself for DJs who really need it.

    thats a lie cause my Z2 was not factory calibration (1/2mm cut-out, 1mm cut-in)
is their any instructions on using that butten on the bottom of the fader? like how many seconds do i have to hold it in and what not
id be happy if it was a1mm cut

I got this from Elliot Marx today.

If anyone already opened up the Z2, it would be nice to know how hard it is, I´m still staring at the warranty-void seal ;)

How did you get it open?
I removed all screws, but it still won´t come open...

Nevermind....shortly before using brute force I figured the whole faceplate is magnetic just as are the side stripes....

simply remove all fader-caps/knobs and pull off the faceplate...
that took a while to figure out....
