    Hi Elliot Hi NI

I bought my Z2 in June. Since then i recieved a replacement plate and a crossfader since the first one was buggy and did not work great. Now , the same x fader that arrived is making me trouble. Its bleeding alot , i tried to calibrate but there is no help, also the cut in an the cut out space is changing from time to time...

I will report this and see what the support will say.

I love my NI products , been using them for 4 years now. From Duo to X1, S4 and Z2... But cant believe that this pro mixer is making me so much trouble.

Heh heh! You have crabs lol! Just joking, just being an idiot as usual. On a serious note I just bought myself an Innofader PNP. The original crossfader is fine including the channel faders. But geez talk about plug and play, the innofader pnp is just that. I opened my Z2 took the original crossfader out and plugged in the innofader and I was off. Didn't even need the cables that was in the box nor adjusting the innofader. It was so simple. I love the innofader to bits.

I'm having this issue as well. I tried using calibration and found that if you do the opposite of what it says, the whole fader is used, but still reveresed even with xfader reverse off. (turning xfader reverse on does not fix anything)

I haven't seen many people with this issue, but has anybody possibly figured out a fix for this particular issue without needing replacement innofaders?
Contacted NI a week ago and haven't heard anything yet.

You'd have to keep recalibrating until the cut points start working on both sides. The mini Innofader calibration does a sensor level adjustment in addition to cut and middle point calibrations. If the sensor level is off, the calibration will readjust the sensor level, throw away the cut points, and go back to it's original output curve which has a reversing operation near the middle. We do this intentionally to make it clear to whoever is doing the calibration that recalibration is needed.

Again the moral of the story is please contact NI support first before you start messing with recalibration...

I had the issue out of the box and the calibration that I tried was the software calibration in Traktor.
I got tired of waiting for NI to get back to me, so I tried the built-in calibration on the fader and it works fine now. Not reversed any more and cut-in distance is perfect... So basically, a fader that needed re-calibration got passed NI quality control, I would assume. **** happens. :V

Absolutely love it, now that everything works properly. May end up getting an Innofader PnP eventually regardless!

gotten 2 replacement cross faders from NI support and both of them have ended up crapping out without even real intense use. now one of the line faders is going as well. so beyond sick of the faders of this mixer not working correctly.

I am not sure but I think that the MinniInnofader had only 1 change made which would lead us to a revision 2. I have 2 Z2's. One is a rev1 crossfader and the other a Rev2 crossfader. The Rev2 has a better cut in and response and said to be more reliable than the rev1. I have actually owned 3 Z2 mixers. The first one was defective from the factory. I exchanged it right away. I'll be damned if I have to warranty something that is broken from the factory. My 2nd Z2 is going on 6-7months and working great. My brand new Z2 worked great from day 1 and the fader is very sharp and responsive.
