Crossgrade activation

    Hello,
    I had a Komplete 10 crossgrade removed from my account a few months ago and sold my S61, but I would now like to reinstall it. I have the activation code but cannot find anywhere to type in the code! I just purchased a new Komplete S49 and have been installing Komplete Select. There is no option in the service center to type in the key for the crossgrade. How do I activate my crossgrade?

    What exactly do you mean with 'removed from my account'? Did you sell the K10 crossgrade as well?

    I didn't sell the crossgrade. I sold my S61 keyboard and Support told me that they had to remove the crossgrade from my account because I no longer owned the keyboard.

    You'll need to install the K10 Crossgrade. Make sure you are using the same account to activate the K10 Crossgrade in Service Center as you used for activating the base product (which qualified you for getting the crossgrade in the first place) ...

    I am using the same account, but the service center is telling me that all of my products have been activated. I don't know where else I can try activating they key. Perhaps I will have to wait until monday to contact support again...

    Just to clarify: did you already install the K10 Crossgrade? (keep in mind that Komplete Select is a different product and has its own serial):

    Do you still own any NI product which qualifies you for using the crossgrade?

    Sorry if I'm not being clear. I installed Komplete Select and all of the accompanying software that came with the S49 keyboard today. A few months ago I had my Komplete 10 Crossgrade key removed from my account when I sold my S61 keyboard because Support wouldn't let me keep the crossgrade key on my account. I'm now trying to re-apply that Komplete 10 Crossgrade key to my account.

    Yeah, I understood that you installed Komplete Select. But you didn't answer my question if you already installed the K10 Crossgrade itself ...

    The steps in general are the following:

    (1) Install the K10 Crossgrade (which is not the same as installing Komplete Select)
    (2) Then open Service Center to activate it.

    Keep in mind: if the S61 was the base product which qualified you for getting and using the K10 Crossgrade, you'll still need to have a (different) base product activated and linked to your account. Otherwise you won't be able to activate and use the K10-Crossgrade.

    Yes, if the general steps mentioned above are not working, it's best to contact NI Support directly ...

    I think this is a special issue for NI support. I will unfortunately have to wait until they open on Monday. :\
