Crossupgrade GPO to Kontakt - 2 licenses or 1 left?

Hi,

I searched the Kontakt tread and didn't find any answerer to this.

I'll buy Garritan Personal Orchestra (GPO) and I am also thinking of crossupgrading GPO to latest Kontakt.

Will I then have 2 licenses so I can download new updates to GPO after crossupgrading to latest Kontakt, or will there be 1 license left - the latest Kontakt?

If so, 1 license left, will Kontakt work good with GPO and can I anyway get the benefits of new GPO stuff in the future?

Have I understood this right?

it does not matter because if you bought GPO then upgrades are free on Garritans Page. If you haven't already you should get the latest free update. If you bought Kontakt then that will work for Kontakt Registration, if you bought GPO then that will work for GPO registration. I own both by the way. you can not use one for the other when updating the product. Atleast this is how i understand it.

B2) Instead of GPO:s kontaktplayer I use Kontakt with all Kontakts advantages... (Yes/No)

C) Can I still download GPO latest upgrades afterwards owning a crossupgrade of Kontakt from GPO? (Yes/No)

D) If no to question C will then updates/upgrades to Kontakt improve GPO in same way as GPO:s updates from their webbpage? (Yes/No)

You can use Kontakt and GPO at the same time on the same machine. I set the sustain pedal to legato mode in Kontakt and run the GPO player with the sustain pedal in regular sustain mode.

The licenses for GPO and Kontakt are separate. You can install GPO on 2 machines and Kontakt on 2 machines. These can be the same machines. As long as GPO has been registered, you can open the GPO content inside Kontakt.

Yes. Beware that you need to set CC21 to 64 in your sequencer to have the correct releases inside Kontakt. There is a default release value programmed into the latest version of GPO that the player supports but Kontakt doesn't.

Yes.

All updates work in Kontakt (except the CC21 as noted above) as the library is programmed using the full Kontakt program.
