    Hi guys,

I searched every thread in the forums on "Cruise Mode" and although people have been having a lot of issues with it, none have mentioned the same problem I'm having. I've started this thread to find out if this is a known issue, and whether there are plans to fix it.

I've been using cruise mode rather successfully. I use the Traktor playlists, not iTunes playlists and it plays the songs in perfect order.

With "Sync" on on both decks, and the Midi Clock Master set to "Internal mode" Tracks are playing in time perfectly.

The Fade in out markers are working almost exactly as described in the manual.

The problem has been though that when cruise mode is engaged, Deck A will reach its Fade Out marker and trigger Deck B's Fade In Marker. When this happens there is always a slight bit of latency that causes deck B to always start 1 beat behind Deck A.

The effect being that Deck A's Snare's hit on beats 2 and 4 (as they're supposed to) and deck B's hit on beats 1 and 3, which just sounds wrong.

I could overcome this temporarily by shifting back by 1 beat all of my fade out markers.

    The problem is though

    1. That's annoying and would take ages to go in and push them all back a beat,
    2. If there's a bug fix all of that work will have been for nothing
    3. The issue does not occur when "cruise mode" is off and I just have Fade in/out markers enabled with "auto load next at end of track enabled" + using this method there is no cross-fade option.

I doubt this could be a hardware issue. My Macbook is only 12 months old, 2.4 ghz 4gig ram. and I'm using the Audio 8 DJ sound card.

Anyone had the same problem/know a fix?

hmmmm.... since you're using the audio 8, latency shouldnt be an issue.

do you use beatgrids? are the beatmarkers well set?

i'll try later and let you know if i can reproduce the behavior.

Are you sure that your fade out markers are set on the 1 and not the 4?

I use beat grids, They are all set perfectly.

When I get time tomorrow I'll record the screen behavior and upload it as a video so you can see what's happening.

The Deck A fade out marker will trigger the Deck B Fade In marker. But deck B gets triggered slightly after Deck A. The slight difference in time when Deck B gets triggered puts it off time with the master clock, it immediately re-sync's but when it does, it re-sync's to the beat behind, not the beat in front. Meaning that it plays a beat behind.

This does not happen when Cruise mode is off and I simply use "Fade in/out markers" and "Load next at end of track" - but doing it this way there is no crossfade.

Definitely. All markers are set on the first beat of the phrase.

In all of my tracks the first 3 markers are in exactly the same spot in the track: Load, Grid, Fade in. Don't know if this could cause problems.
