Here is a good suggestion. I have heard lots ask for this. Some other DJ software support this:-

When in Cruise Mode lets have the choice to be able to put the fader up on the deck that is about to play. So when it does the automix it will only fade out the last song and not fade in the next. That means the very beginning of next song will not be missed.

Having the choice during a played track to adjust the fader of next deck whereever we want. At present if you touch the fader it will start to mix.

    Hi Carlos,

you can set the fade-time very short to not miss the first beats of the new song,

or try the fade-in/out markers with "load next track" feature as an "advanced cruise mode".

The cruise mode is not very musically and only used for background music or chill out areas - not for the party! so I think it is powerful like it is ... many other DJs never used it

No offence mate but it's completely minor thing that shouldn't bother anyone.

Yes I understand it is not used often for club work. It is more for normal segues for other use.

but if you set the mix to short then the last song will fade out really quick too and sound like its being chopped. I was meaning a way to have a few seconds fade out and a clean start on the next song. But yeah understand there is not really a use in clubs.

i only use it when i gotta go for a piss real bad and i have nobody to cover for me, so it doesn't take longer than 1 track to be mixed in...

This has been bothering me about Traktor for a LONG time. There is really no reason why the next song should "fade in." In a real world application, I don't know any pro DJs who fade in the next track unless he is beatmixing. The next song always starts at full volume while the previous song fades out. For someone who is beatmixing, they are probably not using Cruise Mode.

90% of my events are weddings (I don't DJ clubs at all), so having a smooth sounding crossfade is very important to me for things like cocktail hour and dinner (when I have other things to attend to, like lining up the wedding party for a grand entrance, etc.).

Currently, I use cue markers to set a fade out point of the song, but no matter what setting I use for the "crossfade time," it still sounds choppy. Either the previous song has a sharp abrupt fade or the next song is faded up too late at the beginning.

PLEASE try to implement an option to start the next song at full volume.

Hi, I also like to use Cruise Mode, it's a good thing with beat-syncing the tracks and listening to a mix for getting ideas.
But i generally want to have an overlapping of the tracks WITHOUT the fadings. It does not always sound good to fade out any song, and many times you need the very beginning of the song and not a fade in.
Pleaze implement having a choice to get rid of the auto-fadings in Cruise Mode.
    Thank U

Isn't that already possible by setting Preferences > Mixer > Auto Crossfade Time to 0? Or do you still want it to start the other track x seconds before the current track ends?

No, that is not possible with the current Settings. Auto Crossfade Time is also the overlapping time. If i set this to 0 there is no track overlapping.
I would like to have this separately, overlapping time (up to 100 seconds or maybe longer) and separate fading time for fadeout and fadein. That would be great :)
