Is there any way to use cruise mode WITHOUT requiring the volume faders to be all the way up?

Please don't tell me that this is the proper way to play and please don't tell me that real dj's don't use cruise mode. I would use this for cocktail hour and dinner hour at a wedding.

Some dj's (club dj's, for the most part) work with their faders all the way up and control the gain with the master. Many dj's do not. So, my question is, can cruise mode be used without having the faders all the way up?

Again, please don't respond if your intention is to teach me how to dj or you want to tell me not to use the cruise mode. Those posts have already been written and read. Moving on.

Nope. That's how it works. I wish it wasn't but it is.

I have used Cruise Mode in such a way. It's not ideal having to turn the master down.

I cannot bare DJs that work like that. The gain knobs are NOT volume controls, they should be use to adjust a track to compensate not mix.

    Thank you Karlos.

People have been asking for this to be changed for years... based on how often updates come out, I will be retired by the time it gets changed.

I (also wedding DJ and also using the cruise mode during dinner for background music) work like this:
While in cruise mode and music must be at low volume (during dinner), I turn my channel (deck A & B) gain's down low (at the required volume for background music) and leave my master volume normal (0 dB) on my midi controller.
That way, if I have to make an announcement during dinner (using the microphone at a separate channel (I work with an Pioneer DDJ SX2 - 4 channel)), I can turn up the channel gain of the microphone and make my announcement in full volume, with the music still at low volume and without having to go out of cruise mode to manipulate the fader of the playing deck. If the announcement has to be without any background music coming true, I simply turn down the channel gain completely and bringing it back up to the same level as before once the announcement is done.
As the dinner is ending, I increase the channel gain's, so the guests 'feel' the party is coming.
!! IMPORTANT !! -> Be sure to uncheck 'resetting all mixer controls when loading track' in preferences/Loading/Resetting controls, otherwise your decreased channel gain will be reset and set to 0 dB when a next track is loaded

I use the master knob on the mixer to control the outgoing sound volume while leaving the channels fader up.

Still no update to this... ?

What a waste. No updates? As a wedding dj, cruise mode for weddings, cocktail hour and dinner is a waste.
