    Instead of realtime recording you can also choose the Export Audio Mixdown method. Whatever you like best.

    One thing though. Afaik there's no need create group buses first. When you activate the VST Instrument outputs (try Activate All Outputs next time ;)), you'll see the channels appear in the mixer.

    I thought you had to create the group channes first,
    because you cannot route a VST Instrument channel directly into a audio channel.

    Shame on you Steinberg!

    You're right. To record in realtime indeed you need to add group channels, because you can't select VSTi channels as audio input. Hmm...

    thanks for the time saving tip for enabling ALL outputs. Not sure how i missed it, although i've only had cubase5 for a few days.. SX3 before that.
