Very similar question to the previous one, but is it possible to record, IN CUBASE (LE) [It's a relatively old version I suppose, 1.0.7], while having the EFFECTS of the guitar combos (any of them) in the actual recording. I am using the Behringer USB guitar link. All I have come up with so far is recording it in the guitar combo, saving it as a WAV file, and importing it into cubase. Is there an easier way?

-I realize my software is not entirely up to date, and it's hard to expect versatility out of cheap software, but if I cannot do it in cubase, is it possible in KRISTAL, the program that came with the guitar link? Or any other software for that matter?

    Any help would be appreciated.

PS- Im using Windows XP, and have a SoundMAX Digital Audio Card, not that that is involved in the recording process, but if it helps.

Combos Behringer isn't a plug-in, so no, unless you upgrade to GR3, or full combos, you're doing all you can.

    What exactly is full combos?
Because I got a promo code with my Trial version of the 3 combos, which I know gives me one one them, but I don't know if it's demo or full. Is that the full combo or no?
    And thanks.

You have the Behringer edition, which is not a plug-in, just a stand-alone version. Full combos are a separate purchase that work in plug-in hosts.

Although the Combos are not,"Plug-ins" you can record into software sequencers with them depending on the software and your sound card.Your sound card needs to be ASIO compatible and you need to be able to tell it to route/split/share it's input with ASIO and then tell the sequencer software to accept the ASIO input.I can do this on my system with my E-mu 404 sound card that has a software mixer to let me split the input and then in Ableton Live LE in it's inputs to accept using ASIO4ALL free drivers.

It's not as easy as a real VST plug in inasmuch as it takes a bit of setting up but it can be done but then you may run into latency problems.
