    C5.5.3., OX.6.8.
I have Kore 2.1.3 in plugins folders, in applications; as standalone Kore is 2.1.3.
Instantiating it in Cubase it comes up with the message, 'the database was modified by a later version of Kore.', and it's Kore 2.0.4.

I don't usually use it in Cubase. I use it in VE Pro, where as I use it, particularly with Absynth 4, it is not very stable. VE Pro doesn't love that combo. SO for this project I thought to try it on the master machine, in Cubase. So, I know that I installed it yesterday from the CD and updated it to 2.1.3. Period. There is no 2.0.4 on this machine.

There may heen at one time. However I have used the NI uninstaller on Kore and reinstalled as I described. I don't know how this is even possible, but it makes doing this project this way a problem. For one thing, Reaktor 5.6.1 won't turn midi into audio inside this instance.

trashing Cubase preferences changes nothing. so, fortunately VE Pro 5 seems to handle Kore with Absynth alright. in VEP 4, a consistent problem.

    still this is bizarre.
More notable than tbis is that Reaktor 5.6.1 does this in the other system as well.. if there is a 'generator', I hear it. midi in a normal instrument, midi received, lights flashing, no sound. same slot as I just heard Reaktor sound from.

    Useless.

Does Cubase use a different plugin folder? It might be that you have a vst version of Kore somewhere that Cubase uses instead of the updated one.
