Cubase SX and Reaktor 4 HELP!!

I am using R4 as a VST on Cubase SX.The instrument bank is empty.How do I load up an instrument?

 

press the e button next to Reaktor4 in your VST Instruments panel. This will bring up the reaktor interface. you should have the browser on the left side of the window. if not, press the top right button (looks like a magnifying glass with over a folder). the drop down of the browser defaults to the categories in the Library. pick a category and then double click the ensemble in the bottom of the browser that you'd like.

if you want to load an ensemble that isn't in the library, press the open button (first one to the right of the ni logo) and browse to it.

hint: sx works much smoother (at least on a mac) if you close the reaktor window once you've opened your ensemble.

What about using Reaktor multiple times?I can't get any audio from a second
Reaktor VST.

 

check the channel your midi track is set to send on. by default, sx will increment your midi channel with each new track and reaktor ensembles are set up to only respond to channel 1...

(btw, works fine here with mulitple instances of r4)

Di you get the automation to work with 4.01?

 

Haven't got to automation yet as Reaktor crashes CubaseSX everytime I launch it.
Maybe it doesn't kick ass after all.

 

automation works for me... sometimes. it really depends on the ensemble you are using. i think there is a limit to the number of automatable parameters you can have per ensemble and some seem to be past it. my guess is cleaning up the automation parameters by hand in reaktor would allow you to automate anything you want.

os X 10.2.6, cubase sx 1.0.51, reaktor 4.0.1

 

Automation with small ensembles in 4.00 works.

No automation at all in 4.01.

I can create a song in Cubase SX with Reaktor VST but if I close that project and then reopen it Cubase crashes every time.Very frustrating.Any ideas?
