Firstly, I've gotta say - Vokator sounds gorgeous! Just playing through some of the presets has got my creative juices flowing (aye aye!)...

OK, onto my question. Setting Vokator up as a VSTi in Cubase SX, is it possible to route another Cubase Audio channel to act as an input for Vokator? If it's not, is this on the development roadmap? It'd be so cool to be able to have a battery drum-rhythm vocoded against a Pro-53 pad sounds through Vokator?

    Can I do this?

    VST

This is done via the following ->
instead of using as a VSTI -> open as a vst effect on an insert.
Then , make a midi track , you select the Vokator output.
You then are able to input midi info to the Vokator.
This is essentially the same as using it as a VSTi -

    Thank You

    Cubase SX Channels as Inputs!

Yep, that did it - thanks a lot. (Needed to make sure that Input A was Live and Input B was one of the built-in synths, and that the routing was set to A+B for it to work)...

    Lotsa fun now... ;-)

    2 inputs

yes but what if someone wants 2 different inputs?
for example input a live from a mic and channel b live from my nordlead...i can't figure how to do that...
i can put vokator as an insert in a sx track (the live input mic) ans set it as "input a" but how to set in order to have the nordlead input "enter" into the same instance of vokator as input b?
i think that if i put again vokator as insert it opens a different vokator session...

I've been trying out the two input deal for a while now, and finally i got it right!

    This is what you do:

1.Select two VSTi's as your carrier and modulator (Lets call them C & M).

    2.Add a Group Channel Track

3.In the mixer pan the audio of C to the very left and M to the very right.

4.Still in the mixer, direct the audio from BUS1 to Group01 on both C & M.

5.Make Vokator an Insert effect on the Group track.

6.Input A will now be the C and Input B will be the M.

    ...finally complete...

    -alf- :)
